2010 - 2nd Annual Como Zoo Scavenger Hunt!

Como Zoo Scavenger Hunt was an Awesome Day at the Zoo!
Thanks to all the au pairs and Cultural Care Local Childcare Coordinators for putting on a great event for the area au pairs. Teams from all around the world competed for prizes and fun at the Como Zoo on July 18th. We were also able to raise $240 for the Kids First program!
We look forward to another great event next summer!

Concert in the Park - August Au Pair Meeting

Concert in the Park!
We will meet at Parkers Lake Park in Plymouth at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday August 17th, so we can get a place to sit together and we will have our continuing education component prior to the concert. The concert starts at 7 p.m.
Bring along a blanket or lawn chair to sit on, beverages (no alcohol is allowed in the park) and a picnic snack or whatever you may want. The concert is free so will just have an enjoyable time together.
It will be a chance to say goodbye to our leaving au pairs - Emilia, Laura, Elvis, Pia and hello to our new arrivals - Natalia (Brazil), Samantha (S. Africa), and Rebecca (Germany).

Scavenger Hunt at Como Park

Our July au pair meeting will be at Como Park Zoo on July 18th. Beginning at 2 p.m. your team can pick up their clues and head into the zoo to find as many points as possible by 4 p.m. Remember to wear your blue shirt! Friends are welcome and this event is open to au pairs from other agencies as well!

Mini Golf!

Our June au pair meeting will be Mini Golfing
at Lilli Putt in Coon Rapids, MN
We will meet there at 5:45 on Thursday June 17th and begin golfing at 6. Golf costs $6.00. They also have Bumper Boats and Go Karts for $5 per ride if you want to give that a try too.

Au Pairs Learn Bicycle Safety at Trailhead

According to the National Safe Kids Campaign, each year more children are injured by bicycles than by any other consumer product, except the automobile. In an effort to keep area children injury-free while riding their trikes and bikes this summer, Cultural Care Au Pair partnered with Trailhead Cycling last Sunday to teach au pairs how to be safe with their kids on bikes this summer.

April Au Pair Meeting - Bicycle Safety

March Meeting Change due to weather!

Hi Everyone,
It seems the MN weather is not cooperating with us again this month…so change of plans for tonight. We are not going to the snowmobile races in the rain! We will meet at the New Hope Cinema and Grill in New Hope for a movie instead! The movie is “The Spy Next Door” Admission to the movie is $3.00 and they only accept cash for admission to the movie. Once inside it is set up like a restaurant and you can order food/snacks/drinks etc. They will accept credit cards/debit cards for FOOD ONLY. You must have cash to get into the movie. The movie starts at 6 p.m. so plan to be there by 5:45 if possible. We will meet inside and I will get there early to save some seats. Let me know if you are planning to bring a guest otherwise we have a small group this month. See you there!

March Au Pair Event at ERX Motor Park!

Winter is coming to an end but we can still enjoy one more night of fun!
The races start at 5:00 but we will be meeting at 6:15 in the big white tent. You are welcome to arrive anytime before that but you must be there by 6:15 to sign in!
Everyone is welcome! Au Pairs in the group were given one admission ticket, any quests etc. will have to pay admission at $10 per person (kids 12 and under are free).
Dress warm, and bring extra money if you want food or beverages. My son Austin will be racing so you can come an cheer him on. This will be a great Minnesota experience for all of you!
