Wishing you a very Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!

Here is a special wish to those of you who may not be a “mom” but are moms to many kids anyway!

A special wish to the host moms who give of themselves to host an au pair, and to their au pairs who fill in for them when they are not home.

I hope you all have a wonderful day enjoying you!

Mother’s Day Savings!!!!

Mother’s Day Savings

This Weekend Only

(May 4-8) save $825 off the au pair program.

Call today at 763-458-5662

Every mother deserves help, and an au pair could be the answer you are looking for.  Having a live in child care provider can relieve mom of lots of extra stresses.  No more making sure clothes/diaper bags are packed for the next morning, no more packing last minute lunches, mom gets some extra sleep because she doesn’t have to get the kids up and out the door to day care before going to work.  The au pair can work up to 45 hours helping with kids and light child related housekeeping and that leaves less stress for mom.

Fire Safety and Fire Station Tour

Host Family Fire Station Tour A Success!

Several host families and their au pairs came out to tour the Champlin Fire Station.  Thanks to Joel our ever patient fire fighter for the tour!  The adults learned about the fire station and the kids climbed in the fire trucks.

The Champlin fire station is not a residential station, when there is fire in the area the firefighters are called in to help.

Photos from our day at the station:

Su joins our group from Brazil

Posted by: tkapaun | April 12, 2012 | No Comment |

Welcome to Au Pair Connections Su!

Su arrived to Minnesota in February 2012 and recently joined our group as an au pair in Maple Grove, MN. We are happy to have her as part of our group and look forward to getting to know Su throughout the year.

Su is 20 years old and is from Brazil and is spending her year in Maple Grove taking care of three kids.

Su wanted to be an au pair because: “Well, I love kids. To be an au pair it’s an opportunity that put together all my dreams: to study English, to live in another country, to work with children and to learn a different culture. So, what more can I say? It’s perfect! Everything that you do with dedication and if you love what you do, nothing gonna wrong. That’s why I want to be an au pair: it’s a dream and I can increase to the family life something of my knowledge.”

Su enjoys Pilates, swimming, movies and going to museums.  She enjoys traveling and learning through life experiences!

Welcome to Minnesota Su.

Welcome to the United States Marie!

Posted by: tkapaun | April 12, 2012 | No Comment |

From Germany comes Marie!

Marie arrived to Minnesota in March 2012 and she will be living in Elk River caring for two children during her year in the U.S.  Marie is 19 years old and speaks German, English and some French.

Marie wanted to be an au pair because: “First I want to say that I love children. I love to take care of them and play with them. But most of all I love to see them growing up and how each day is a new adventure for them. Another reason why I want to be an au pair is that I love America and I like to get to know different cultures and the American way of life. It was always my dream to work and live in America. The job as an au pair is a great opportunity for me to combine the work with children, cultures and new adventures and to learn more about American life. ”

Marie enjoys field hockey, basketball, badminton and jogging.  She also likes sailing and spending time with family and friends.

Welcome to Minnesota Marie!
